Handmade greeting cards

I just love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday of the year . I love the rich colors and the atmosphere of the holiday. I never get tired of making Halloween cards. Everyday should be Halloween!

One of my newest stamps. Isn't he adorable? Yeearg! <---- my attempt at a pirate impression.

A cute little bat card.

This penguin is chillin.

It seems I am incapable of taking a straight photo or one during the day when the lighting isn't poor. Oopsy! Sorry for the color difference. I have to learn to take pictures when the sun is out.

Gimli and Luna 14th week comparison

Luna and Gimli at 14 weeks. It's so hard to take a picture of Luna since she's soooo squirmy. This photo of Gimli was the closest I could find to the angle of Luna. Luna looks just like a pure bred cattle dog with border collie legs. Luna is 16.1lbs while Gimli was 21lbs. Gimli has no blue in his coloring and Luna, no red.

Luna's fast approaching Gimli's height because of her sexy, long, border collie legs. She quite lanky, while he was always stocky.

Another bib

I made another little bib with a wool felt leaf on the side and some ribbon as an accent. My sexy model is Papa Elfmar. I made this without realizing that Papa's outfit was the exact same color as the bib so I had to undress him. I left his hat, his ring and his shoes on so he wasn't completely exposed. 3/4 view below.

Front view. The ribbon shrunk when I ironed it (boo hoo!) but my hubby said he liked the puckery look of it.

Side view. Please pay no attention to Papa's knickers.

I bought papa long ago at Toys-r-us. They were getting rid of the entire line and he was the only one left. I really wish I had been there sooner because I would have bought them all. Later that day Papa and I went to a grocery store to pick up some snacks and the cashier commented on what an ugly doll he was. I cried but I wanted to slap her. Such an insensitive cashier bruising my poor Papa's feelings. Papa and I ask that the mischievous faeries bestow her with lactating breasts and cramps for life.

Ducky bib

This is the first bib I've ever made. It was a pretty easy sewing project. I probably should have ironed the bib before I took a picture of it. :P I have really got to expand my thread collection. I never seem to have the right color for the project I'm working on.

The lovely model is Friendship bear sent to me by Maggie. I've never removed him from the box. :) Care bears are so cute!

Just an update

I made this bag on Friday from a tutorial of Craftster. My template was from a bag I got at a fabric store. I reduced the length quite a bit as the original template was 26" long. Much cuter than those ugly plastic bags. I lined it with some Christmasy type fabric that I never knew what to do with. It was red and green with a bit of blue so I figured it matched.

My adorable angel! He's got scabs on the sides of his face, his legs and in his ears from his naughty sister biting him. It makes me so angry that she marred his perfect face. I'm going to buy her a mini muzzle if she doesn't start to learn that Gimli isn't a chew toy!

Luna and Gimli comparison at 13 weeks old. Luna is 17lbs and Gimli was 20.5lbs at the time.

and finally some produce from the garden picked fresh today. 8-ball squash, turbo cucumber, some random peppers (very mild), Casper eggplant (I think I may have picked it too early), Christmas grapes cherry tomato and Purple beauty bell pepper. We amended the soil about 2 feet deep where the bell pepper is but for some reason they never get bigger than golfballs.

Time for dinner now. Mmmm packaged udon!
