Handmade scarf for Ruth's Birthday.

I rushed this project and it didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. I hope she likes it anyways. I started it the afternoon before her birthday and worked on it until her party. I should stop doing things at the last minute . . . maybe one day. Hand sewn scarf with a flannel back. The ends are hand embroidered with some beads as embellishments for the stamens. It's my very lazy attempt at cherry blossoms.

Cloth napkins sewn for me! I need to make coasters to go with it now. I just wish I had more of the fabric so I could have made at least 6 napkins.

Christmas is up!

We got a brand new Christmas tree today. It was sooo difficult finding a tree that wasn't pre-lit or that was pre-lit with LEDs. We must have gone to at least seven stores and looked online. We wanted one that looked realistic but had to settle on this tree. It's pre-lit with LEDs and only the outer branches are realistic looking.

The tree lit up in the light. There are lots of handmade ornaments on the tree but I'm still making more.

Cherry curtain

Made this today while the puppies napped. It's a topper for our big window. It will be hung onto a rod with clamp rings. It's hard to see but the tan fabric has little cherries on it. I hand appliquéd the large cherry with scraps. The lighting and angle are off on this image. I'll take a better picture later when I get a chance or after it's been hung up.

A snowman

This is the first quilt I ever made. I gave it to my parent's dog Max. He sleeps on it every day.

Homespun garland made by tying fabric to twine. My fingers were raw after this one!

Ribbon ornaments I made for the tree most of which were eaten by Gimli. Since they smelled like me he nuzzled (a bit too roughly) them when I left the house. A red one. . .

Some ornaments made from herbs. I glued them to Styrofoam balls and pinned ribbons on them! They were very fragrant.
