Pansies that I planted about 4 months ago. This is the longest I've kept pansies alive in our hot weather.

Purple flower from Anne's house. Look at those little guys huddled up together.

My hollyhocks started blooming a week ago. Aren't the beautimiss? These have to be my favourite variety of hollyhock.

Lavender from Anne's place. I like the river rock lining the bed. I may steal it.

Osteospermum 'Sunny Sheila' this is one sexy flower. I do believe I like this more than the other variety. Aren't they a cute couple? awww

Some pink flower from Anne's. It looked neglected so I thought i'd take a picture of it. It looks as if a buggy took a nibble out of it. Oh noes! Someone must slay the evil flower villian!

A geranium that Mike picked out at the store. He liked it so I got it and it grew on me. I really do like the leaves. Even though the flowers are tiny the leaves really make up for it. Look that one is waving bye bye!

The beginning of the plantypoos

We went to Sierra rock and nursery yesterday and purchased the first plants to go into our yard. 72 plants and a pot hardly made a dent in the yard. I really liked the selection there and they had a bunch of plants I hadn't seen at the other local nurseries. They carried unique varieties in smaller sizes so they came out to be cheaper than buying them later in the season in bigger, more expensive containers.

Since it's raining this morning I thought I'd post what we did yesterday. Hopefully it dies down as we have much to do!

Yesterday I planted various quantities of: jasminum x-stephanense, strawberry 'quinault', dusty miller 'silver dust', verbena 'quartz mango', Buchanan's fuschia sage, marguerite daisy 'twinkle' lavender, sagina scotch moss, hernieria 'green carpet', wooly thyme, red rubin purple basil, genovese basil, tiburon poblano pepper, nasturtium 'whirlybird mix', marigold 'durango red', casper eggplant, brandywine tomatos, purple beauty sweet pepper, christmas grapes heirloom tomato and 2 mystery plants that I grew from seed and forgot to label.

A trench Mike painstakingly spent hours digging for the veggie plants. He was upset when I put flowers in half. hehe Oh look, a glimpse of the cutest doggy ever! Gimli helped Mike dig the trench by jumping in and picking out mouthfuls of clay.

Verbena 'Quartz Mango' I love this color, it's so soft and pretty.

Buchanan's Fuchsia sage. I had to get this plant! I love the dark maroon stems and the fuzzy little flower petals.

A little patch I started on yesterday. I really like the chartreuse color of the scotch moss.

Jasminum x-stephanense This is such a pretty jasmine. It really doesn't picture well. I've not seen this at other nurserys. My favourite plant that we purchased yesterday.

My bootiful new strawberry pot. Last time I planted strawberries in the ground they sent roots up all over the place. I thought the pot would help to control their invasive tendencies. The strawberries are the 'Quinault' variety.

A few fleurs

Bleeding hearts. Such an adorable plant.

Columbines came back on their own and multiplied. Good plant.
